Security forces killed two terrorists, including a 'district commander' of the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), in the forest area of Hatar in Kishtwar on February 10. According to media reports, acting on a specific tip off regarding the presence of some suspected persons in the forest area, security forces launched a massive search operation. Even as the security forces encircled the terrorist hide out and asked them to surrender, the terrorists started firing indiscriminately on the security personnel. Two terrorists were killed in the ensuing encounter, which was going on till the last reports came in. Two AK-56 rifles, 4 magazines of AK and two Kenwood radio sets were also recovered from the encounter site.
