According to the Kohat DPO office, eight to 10 militants attacked District Courts using hand grenades and heavy weapons. Sources said the militants had planned the attack to take away an alleged killer who was brought there from Tarnol in Punjab and was to be produced before a judge in connection with the murder of Member of Provincial Assembly Fareed Khan on June 3, 2013.
